Let me first say that harassing Julian Assange for having published
leaked government documents is completely wrong. There’s no evidence so
far that anyone has been injured directly because of the leaks.
National security (even as understood by mainstream statists) hasn’t been damaged.
As for the embarrassment some officials might be feeling, tough.
Governments routinely subject their citizens to much worse for no valid
reason. As for diplomacy, there’s none worth the name. In high office,
all we have are blackmailers, bullies, and bandits. Some outing and
shaming of their public actions is in order. Exposing the crimes and
blunders of the state is not only a right of citizens, but a duty.
As enough people have argued, Assange is
obviously not guilty of treason,
since he’s not a citizen of the US. And, although some people think
he’s guilty of espionage, that’s doesn’t seem true either. He didn’t
hack any state computer or blow any agent’s cover to get his
information. It was mostly given to him voluntarily by whistle-blowers
and leakers. All he did was publish it.......

subprime government debt. But the central bank keeps lending them money
to buy more!
Bloomberg has the story:April 18 (Bloomberg) —
Spanish, Italian and Portuguese banks are loading up on bonds issued by
their own governments, a move that shifts more of the risk of sovereign
default to European taxpayers from private creditors.
Holdings
of Spanish government debt by lenders based in the country jumped 26
percent in two months, to 220 billion euros ($289 billion) at the end of
January, data from Spain’s treasury show. Italian banks increased
ownership of their nation’s sovereign bonds by 31 percent to 267 billion
euros in the three months ended in February, according to Bank of Italy
data.
German and French banks, meanwhile, have cut holdings of
those countries’ bonds, as well as Irish and Greek debt, by as much as
50 percent since 2010 in some cases. That leaves domestic firms on the
hook for a restructuring such as Greece’s last month and their main
financier, the European Central Bank, facing losses. Like Greece,
governments would have to rescue their lenders with funds borrowed from
the European Union.

She is more concerned that I’ve authored posts here citing The Protocols of the Elders of Zion (which is an offered link) than giving a fair reference to the article she critiques. Clearly, I was not putting forth a tell-all on Agora, however much Agora is deserving.
Ms. Rajiva takes issue, for example, with my use of the word ‘staff’ (in quotes) in naming Rockwell, Celente, and Dr. Paul as contributors to The Daily Reckoning. She writes:

–my reply to Lila is in the form of questions. The scores of libertarian writers she mentions evidently didn’t make it onto the “cast-of-characters” list, but Rockwell, Celente, and Ron Paul did. Does Agora publish their work without their knowledge? Did Agora paste up their pictures/bios without permission? Is Ms. Rajiva bright enough to recognize a subtle humor in calling these regulars in Agora’s newsletter ‘staff ‘ ?…sure she is. And something else that is “plain silly” to draw conclusions from is her parting jab to me, in parentheses:

Could someone tell Ms. Rajiva to take her “anti-semitic” charge and go to the corner in back of the class?
