In the New York area, the opening of a Fairway Market with its cornucopia of fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, and specialty foods, particularly in an underserved neighborhood, is always a cause for celebration. Revitalizing the waterfront neighborhood of Red Hook, Brooklyn, was a primary economic goal when Fairway opened there in 2006. The store performed as expected, bringing many jobs and shoppers to the neglected community, becoming the key to its rebirth – until five feet of water from Storm Sandy flooded the 52,000 square-foot store and forced its closing last October. Within a short period of time, Lexington Insurance advanced Fairway a $10 million claims payment, enabling the company to get to work rebuilding immediately. Because AIG kept its promise to its customer, not a single one of the 350 Fairway employees lost a day of pay during the four months it took to repair the damage and reopen, which Fairway did on March 1, 2013.

Fraud Warning
Insurance fraud is a serious concern for AIG. Insurance fraud committed by third parties, or by AIG employees, adversely impacts the industry, AIG’s profitability, our insureds, business partners, consumers and the general public. Industry sources estimate that insurance fraud costs the insurance industry billions of dollars every year. Insurance fraud can encompass any suspicious, fraudulent and/or illegal activity committed against AIG and related to AIG’s business. The most common types of suspicious activity and insurance fraud schemes are: claims fraud; underwriting/application fraud; provider fraud; premium fraud; producer / broker fraud and employee fraud.
Toward that end, AIG's Global Investigative Services maintains a Special Investigative Unit (SIU) consisting of a significant number of fraud investigators who are geographically dispersed and highly skilled at handling reports of suspicious insurance activity. The SIU investigates referrals, tips and leads as appropriate, and makes reports of suspected fraud to the authorities, as required, for further government investigation and potential prosecution. AIG takes its responsibility as a partner in this overall fight against insurance fraud very seriously. These anti-fraud efforts are designed to safeguard AIG’s corporate assets, preserve the Company’s reputation, improve deterrence of fraud in the industry, and generally benefits our customers and the public.

I still don't know and haven't formed an opinion about the 'actors' connection to the Gifford Arizona alleged assassination attempt by Jared Loughner and the Newtown,Sandy Hook chatacters but here it is for others to peruse.I'm not sure if biometric software exists that can 'finger print' these faces and provide resolution to the mystery and controversy but one thing is for sure,Maurice Hank Greenberg's AIG was part of the WTC,9/11 tragedy and terrorism tragedy and it was also a BIG insurance fraud.Also Michael Blkombereg is employer of two individuals in and around the Newtown,Sandy Hook,CT.,event.I'm also 'well aware' that the alias wellaware who posted this material has made some even wilder unjustifiable claims about Adolf Hitler and Walt Disney when what we know, or some of us know, about Adolf Hitler's true origens and verifiable history in Austria is just about as wild as any fiction anyone could dream up.This could also be said about Maurice Greenberg and AIG's Chinese and European Jewish history as well.

The freshman U.S. Congressman Jim Himes, D-Greenwich, who represents lower Fairfield County, urged state lawmakers to step aside and allow the federal government to address the AIG bonus mess. The Congressman knows the world of AIG, since after completing his studies, he took an entry level job at Goldman Sachs & Co., in order to pursue his goal of bringing economic opportunity to Latin America. He worked his way up to Vice President over the course of a 12-year career, working extensively in Latin America and heading the telecom technology group.
But Richard Blumenthal, Connecticut’s attorney general should not step aside, since AIG has its office in Wilton. Blumenthal has devoted his career to aggressive law enforcement for consumer protection, environmental stewardship, labor rights and personal privacy. He helped lead the national fight against tobacco companies to stop deceptive marketing aimed at children, and I feel he should lead this fight against AIG.
On Saturday, "a busload of activists representing working- and middle-class families paid visits Saturday to the lavish homes of American International Group executives to protest the tens of millions of dollars in bonuses awarded by the struggling insurance company after it received a massive federal bailout," JOHN CHRISTOFFERSEN wrote in his articleProtesters visit AIG officials' lavish Conn. homes.
So far we know Doug Poling and James D. Haas of Fairfield County, Connecticut received million dollar bonuses. Poling, who received a $6.4 million bonus is general council and chief administration officer for North American Marketing for AIG’s Financial Products Unit, and Haas, is the co-leader. I understand both are returning the money!
Now, the others need to step forward and give back their so-called bonus!
